The biggest night of the year for music is upon us. With such an occasion there’s always the question of who will be there. As it turns out, according to The New York Times, the Recording Academy has announced that pop sensations Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eillish, BTS, and Lil Nas X will be performing at the 64th annual Grammy Awards.

Olivia Rodrigo forbes 30 under 30 list

These performers have also been nominated for various awards:

  • Softly introspective and genuine, Billie Eilish, has been nominated for seven awards.  These include but not limited to: Record and Album of the Year for “Happier Than Ever” and Song of the Year for “Happier Than Ever”.
  • The rockin’ Olivia Rodrigo is a first time nominee, going up for seven awards in the following: Album of the Year with SOUR, Song of the Year with “drivers license,” Best Pop Vocal Album with SOUR, and Best New Artist.
  • Stylistically electric band, BTS, is going up for one award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Butter.”
  • Rhythmically potent, Lil Nas X, is also going for Record and Album of the Year for “MONTERO”, Song of the Year for “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”, and Best Melodic  Rap Performance.

The competition between Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo for three awards are a focal point. Even so, other nominees deserve the spotlight. Like Doja Cat and Kanye West. Both have been nominated for Album of the Year for “Planet Her” and “Donda” respectively. On top of this, FINNEAS, Billie Eilish’s brother, is also in the running for Best New Artist.

The 64th annual Grammy Awards will be available to stream on Paramount+ on April 3rd at 8PM EST. For more, check out our Word and OnStage sections for more info on the latest.
