Chase Atlantic Make Triumphant Return with “ESCORT”

SHARE

Chase Atlantic, our favorite Aussie R&B band, are back with a new single, “ESCORT.” After teasing the sultry track at their recent shows, fans are excited to hear the entire thing. “ESCORT,” like every Chase Atlantic song, is a seductive masterpiece. Powerful vocals, moving lyrics, and potent guitar lay over a ’90s beat – the perfect combination. That’s why at Music Daily, we’re featuring “ESCORT” as part of our New Music Monday.

A Complete Single

Within the first few seconds of listening to “ESCORT,” the sultry vocals of Mitchel Cave draw you in. A slowed trap beat, complete with reverb ad-libs, keeps you listening. A smooth, near-psychedelic backing guitar completes the single. Perhaps the most poignant aspect of “ESCORT,” however, is none of those. The boys of Chase Atlantic are known for their lyrical skills, but we think those in “ESCORT” take the cake.

Looking for Stability in “ESCORT”

Chase Atlantic tells the story of a dancer stuck in place but yearning for a way out. They sing, “She’s been down the darkest roads/ She’s been all alone, yeah / Strangers seem to come and go / Helps her business grow, yeah.” It’s hard not to catch the deeper meaning behind these lyrics, and even harder not to find her situation just a bit relatable. We can understand “ESCORT” when we realize that we too are looking for stability.

More from Chase Atlantic

Chase Atlantic has been pretty busy these days. They’ve nearly sold out “BEAUTY IN DEATH,” their North American tour, as well as reworked their smash single, “OHMAMI” – this time featuring Maggie Lindemann. The trio have of course been busy promoting on social media, and for good reason. Chase Atlantic have gained a multitude of fans since the release of their BEAUTY IN DEATH album seven months ago; and now fans are craving more. “ESCORT” is just a taste of what’s to come from the R&B stars, but it satisfies fans for now.
