The Weeknd announced on his Twitter account that his new album ‘Dawn FM’ is part of “a new trilogy!”
Canadian singer-songwriter and record producer Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, aka The Weeknd, released his fifth studio album, ‘Dawn FM.’ The album received great criticism and praise. Timbaland also compared The Weeknd’s new record to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” In a four-star review, NME‘s Rhian Daly said that “Dawn FM” contains “perhaps his most mature, emotionally robust collection yet”.
The album also features incredible artists as Tyler The Creator, Oneohtrix Point Never and Lil Wayne. It also presents narration from actor Jim Carrey. The actor himself praised the record as “deep and elegant.”
“I wonder… did you know you’re experiencing a new trilogy?”
A few days after the release, the artist published a cryptic post on Twitter, where he suggested that the new album is part of “a new trilogy!”
“I wonder… did you know you’re experiencing a new trilogy?” he wrote on his Twitter account. Together with these words, he attached a picture of his older self that is featured on the front cover of his new record.
The Weeknd’s new album “Dawn FM” follows last year’s ‘After Hours‘.
After the Tweet, fans speculate that a new album will come soon! The name of this new LP will be ‘After Life.’
Some also believe that the ‘After Hours’ character died. On ‘Dawn FM,’ he is in a purgatory state, waiting for the final judgement. “In the 3rd chapter he’ll either go to heaven or hell,” a fan added.
