“Tomboy” Comes In Hot

Last week, Destiny Rogers released the music video for “Tomboy,” which features New Jersey sensation Coi Leray. Directed by Becky Hearn, the music video shows us what it really means to be a tomboy.

The song features a surge of energy from Coi Leray as the two carve out their own lanes in R&B and hip-hop. Coi recently blew up with her most successful banger to date, “No More Parties,” which is RIAA Gold Certified.

With the emerging talent that is Destiny getting the support of some huge names, it was only right for both to come together on this remix. As expected, it’s amazing.

The new version of “Tomboy” is the follow up to the the viral version of the original. Back in 2020, Lisa of K-Pop group BLACKPINK posted a video performing “Tomboy” that has seen over 53 million views since its release.

Since then, “Tomboy” is currently in the Top 20, but peaked at #12, on the Spotify 50 Global chart/

Destiny Rogers Is On The Rise

The 21-year-old Destiny Rogers is a singer-songwriter born and raised in a small Northern California town. After moving to L.A. for more opportunities, she connected with members of Grammy-Award winning songwriting and producing team The Stereotypes [Bruno Mars, Cardi B].

She eventually began working with them on her own and even signed to their label, Beach Wave Sound, in 2018. The result is confidence in the languid R&B and hip-hop-inflected pop songs – all of which can be heard on her Tomboy EP.

The single produced by the collective is also mastered well and very catchy.  Working with Destiny gave her a chance to showcase her strong vocals and soulful lyrics.

Destiny Rogers is currently in the studio working on new material for her growing fan base. Her most recent work includes co-writing G-Eazy and Kiana Lede’s “A Little More.” She also has a feature on Phora’s single, “the art of letting go.”
