Gryffin Returns with MØ for a Beautiful Track with “Reckless”

SHARE

It’s really nice to see Gryffin still work. I’ve written about the DJ/Producer before for his track “Caught Up.” A wonderfully done song that brought me back to my high school years when I would seek out EDM with a more vibe. Read more on it here. As for “Reckless,” this one continues that feeling with an albeit simple but addictive melody. Let’s dive in, shall we?

Gryffin’s Latest is Beautifully “Reckless”

Teaming up with the viral singer, MØ, the song is short in both length and structure. Consisting of two line verses and primarily pre and actual choruses, the song makes up for the lack of lyrical complexity with an infectious melody. This one is very much a Gryffin song. Yeah, of course all of his songs are “Gryffin” songs, but this one feels more like the production and looping of just the right vocals were the goal. Rather than other songs like Zedd’s 2013 bedroom hit “Stay The Night” featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore. That song is more so a collaborative equal, as the verses and melody tend to work together in a complex harmony.

Nevertheless, Reckless is a simple but effective track that I can’t help but enjoy in its simplicity. You can check out the music video by clicking the image above. That’s it for now. For more on your favorites and unknown check out our Word and Drops sections.
