Genre-defying singer-songwriter Tai Verdes released his latest single “LAst dAy oN EaRTh,” following up to November’s “Let’s go to Hell.”

Tai Doesn’t Follow Just One Genre of Music

Tai Verdes doesn’t stick to just one genre when it comes to his music. He is known for mixing up pop, hip hop, and even R&B in his tracks, which, believe it or not, turn out to sound incredible. “LAst dAy oN EaRTh” is not an exemption, as it combines all of these genres as well, making it an upbeat but chill song.

“LAst dAy oN EaRTh” describes what Tai would do if he only had exactly one day left to live. In the fun lyrics, he narrates, “If it was my last day on Earth, I wouldn’t be in church. I’m sorry, God, but it’s my last day in this universe. I need to see birds and buzzin’ bees, green grass, evergreen trees. Not seein’ people who have been mean to me. And why would I waste my time?”

The Message and Popularity of “LAst dAy oN EaRTh”

“I made this song for the purpose of reflection,” Tai explains in a press release. “I want everyone to listen to this song, you know…really listen to it. To stop, breathe in the air, feel, think about where they are, and realize that this isn’t gonna last forever, and by ‘this’ I mean life. Sometimes, life’s journey can feel long, sometimes it feels short, but we all know it’s going to end. It’s kind of like jumping out of a plane. We’re all in freefall, and sometimes we just get so caught we don’t realize it. Time for everyone to see the world in HD.”

The song had been gaining a lot of attention since Tai posted a snippet of it on his TikTok account. The first teaser, released on December 26, gained an incredible amount of 25 million views, with comments of people begging him to release the song as soon as possible. He kept on posting the same snippet video as a countdown for the song release date, and all of those videos also surpassed 1 million views each. It’s no surprise that since the song was released, it’s becoming popular on Spotify as well. It’s getting close to hitting 2 million streams!
