Rising pop-punk artist UPSAHL shared her latest banger “Lunatic.” The song arrives as the follow-up to  “Time of my Life” and “Melatonin.”

UPSAHL: The Pop-Punk Star to Keep an Eye on

UPSAHL is definitely an artist that you will want to keep your eye on. The 22-year-old star is quickly gaining a following, and it’s more than well deserved. Her music is something that we don’t get much of nowadays, especially from a female artist: punk. So, if you’re a pop-punk fan, make sure to check her music out!

“Lunatic” is UPSAHL’s ninth song of the year – Yes, that’s right – NINTH. She was been working hard in the studio and has already gotten to work with other amazing artists such as blackbear and iann dior.

She Lets Her Frustrations Out in “Lunatic”

The new song is about wanting someone who hurt you in the past to feel the same way, even if it’s just physically. UPSAHL sings, “Let me paint the picture for ya. Heard my ex talking trash ’bout me, on the Internet. Seeing red, next thing I know. I’m outside his work with the baseball bat ’cause I want this to hurt.”

UPSAHL explains, “The day I wrote ‘Lunatic,’ I was having such a shit day that I almost didn’t show up to the studio. I ended up going in pajamas, no makeup, angry as fuck at the world. Walked into the studio and started venting about the whole situation to Jonny and Will (co-writers.) I just kind of ended up going into the vocal booth and screaming into the mic. I feel like people are so scared of being the “crazy ex;” but sometimes you kind of just want to go fucking crazy. This song is owning that.”

The star is getting ready to take on London this Fall, as her Courtyard Theatre show on October 12 is already sold out. After that, she’s going to kick off her tour across the U.S. on November 5 in Houston, TX, and will finish up on November 30 in San Francisco, TX.
